Mom’s Prostitution Arrest: Baby And Puppy Left In Car In Takoma Park, Police Said

Takoma Park Police arrested Danielle Parnell for child neglect, child abuse and prostitution.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Takoma Park Police arrested a woman for child neglect, child abuse and prostitution, police announced Wednesday.

Danielle Parnell, 24, of no fixed address, was arrested around noon on Tuesday when Takoma Park Police responded to the 1200 block of Myrtle Avenue for a complaint of a baby alone in a vehicle, police said.

Police discovered the 18 month old baby and an eight week old puppy were left alone in the vehicle for approximately an hour.

While officers were on the scene, Parnell came outside and met with officers and indicated she had been inside an apartment earning money as a prostitute, police told Patch.

Parnell was transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit without incident. The 18 month old child was taken into custody by Child Protective Services, and the puppy was turned over to Animal Control and was immediately adopted, police said.

Parnell also has an outstanding warrant through the State of Ohio for violation of probation, police told Patch.
