Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring woman.

Sandra Lee Bender, age 51, was last leaving the Regency Care of Silver Spring facility (located at 9101 Second Avenue) in the company of a friend at approximately 1:30 pm. today.  Bender and her friend left in a green Ford conversion van with Maryland tag: 4CM5028.

Bender is approximately 5’ 1" tall and weighs approximately 125 pounds.  She has brown eyes and has brown hair.

Family and police are concerned for Bender's physical and emotional welfare.

Anyone with information regarding Sandra Bender's whereabouts or anyone who sees the above described vehicle is asked to call the Police Department at 301-279-8000 (24/7 phone line). Callers may remain anonymous.
