If you want to hear authentic, heartfelt singing about the vanishing West, come to Takoma Park Maryland on April 19 and hear Steve Cormier as he brings the sounds of the lonesome trail to downtown Takoma Park, Maryland.

Steve Cormier’s singing is so perfect that the New Mexico Humanities Council made him the official cowboy singer for its Chautauqua program. Steve isn’t just a pretty voice. He’s spent a lifetime learning the cowboy's craft--how to throw a lariat, how to brand a calf, and how to use songs to calm a nervous herd. Steve sings about the real people he’s met on the range: farmers, cowboys, factory workers, schemers and dreamers. His concerts provide insight into a way of life that has almost vanished from the American landscape.

Join us in the front parlor of Kathie Mack's cozy Craftsman bungalow. It may be only three blocks from the Takoma Metro Station on the Red Line, but expect to spend the evening with your mind transported to the American West.
