Pedestrian Struck In Hit-And-Run In Takoma Park

TAKOMA PARK, MD — A pedestrian was struck in a hit-and-run in Takoma Park Thursday, police said.

Officers responded to the intersection of East-West highway and Kentland Ave for the report of a struck pedestrian at about 9:30 p.m. Thursday night.

The victim told police she was walking along the roadway when she was hit by a red SUV or van, police said. The vehicle then fled the area at a high rate of speed.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, police said.
