School Backpack Donation Drive Held By Takoma Park Police
The Takoma Park Police Department will collect school supplies for students in need Aug. 9-30.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Takoma Park residents are encouraged to participate in the Police Department's "Pack the Patrol Car School Backpack Donation Drive" Aug. 9-30.
Donors are asked to purchase a backpack and fill it with any or all of the following basic supplies: three ring binder; package of filler paper; five-tab insert dividers; two spiral notebooks; two pocket folders; pencil pouch; 12-pack of No. 2 pencils; 24-pack of Crayola crayons; 12-pack of Crayola markers; erasers; 3-pack of glue sticks; ruler; pair of small or medium sized scissors; pack of highlighters; pencil sharpener; pack of pens and a calculator.
Patrol officers will then deliver the donated items to Takoma Park schools for students in need.

Donations may be dropped off at the Takoma Park Police Department at 7500 Maple Ave. between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. The collection container is located inside the lobby.
