Friday
Difference Makers Silent Auction: Difference Makers is holding their second annual Silent Auction from 6-9 p.m. Friday. This event is a fundraiser to help pay for their operating costs, as it's a student-run non-profit with over 200 years. The Silent Auction will include gift cards and certificates to restaurants, grocery stores, photography sessions, bowling parties, pottery classes, martial arts packages, vacation packages and more.

Dine at Trattoria Da Lina: Check out Takoma Park's newest Italian restaurant, open at 5 p.m. Friday at 7000 Carroll Ave. It'll be open for dinner Tuesday through Sunday, and brunch on Sunday.

Fitness Expo 2017: Takoma Park Recreation Center is offering a free fitness expo to all Takoma Park residents. The expo includes 20 minute demonstrations of group exercise classes offered by the recreation center and other programs. Health and wellness vendors will also be in attendance and available for presentations, seminars and health screenings. Takoma Park Recreation Center is located at 7315 New Hampshire Ave.
New Art Exhibit At The Still Point: Come meet The Still Point's new featured artist, Geraldine Butler from 6:30-8 p.m. Wine and cheese will be served.
Sunday
Takoma Park Farmers Market: Check out the freshest local produce, meat, cheese and more all from within 125 miles of Takoma Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday on Laurel Avenue.
Concert at Rhizome: Will Csorba, Domingues & Kane and Jon Camp will perform from 4-6 p.m. at Rhizome at 6950 Maple St. in DC. Csorba is a guitar player, Domingues is a classically-trained cellist and viola da gamba player and Jon Camp is a DC-based guitarist and composer.
Vipassana Meditation: Chill out from 7-8:30 p.m. Sunday evening at Willow Street Yoga at 6930 Carroll Ave. Be prepared for Vipassana meditation and dharma talk.
