Takoma Park Business Hosts Pop-Up Bookstore Featuring Authors Of Color
Duende District has partnered with La Mano Coffee Bar for a pop-up bookstore that celebrates authors of color July 11-23.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — Duende District has partnered with La Mano Coffee Bar in Takoma Park for a pop-up bookstore that celebrates authors of color July 11-23.
Founded in February 2017, Duende District's mission is to bring a highly inclusive bookstore experience to DC and surrounding areas. The mobile pop-up bookstore focuses on the large Hispanic, black, immigrant and other communities of color throughout the DMV.
Customers will find a high-quality selection of about 50 titles in fiction, poetry, memoir/essay, art/music, graphic novels and more, all by authors and illustrators of color, according to a press release.

Duende District owner Angela Maria Spring will be onsite for the bookstore's official hours Monday through Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 12-5 p.m. La Mano Coffee Bar is located at 304 Carroll St. NW.
