A Takoma Park resident describes the community as, "Takoma Park is an old city that retains the feeling of a neighborhood. With its quaint mixture of small businesses, park the car and walk a few hundred feet to the bank, baker, hardware store, Vet, police, fire station, cafes, and a Saturday morning farmer's market, that are anchored by a Post Office and church. Parking is great. Free WIFI is plentiful and this culturally diverse community has a state-of-the-art library for books, voting, and community meetings. Did I mention it has a metro-train station for easy public commuting to D.C. and Silver Spring?
