Washington Adventist University to Host Service Day October 1

Fall service day is an opportunity to participate in activities that "give back" to the community.

Washington Adventist University is hosting its Fall Service Day on Wednesday, October 1, and the community is invited to participate. There are a variety of service activities planned from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and participants will meet at Sligo Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at Flower and Carroll Avenues. Be the Match Registry Event: in 15 minutes or less, you can help save a life. Take a moment to “be the match” for a leukemia or lymphoma patient by participating in the bone marrow registry. Take that first step to being someone’s cure by being tested and added to the registry. Monetary contributions are also welcome.

Washington Adventist University is Montgomery County’s only four-year private college. Part of the Seventh-day Adventist system of higher education, Washington Adventist University has been educating college students since 1904 on a 19-acre campus in suburban Takoma Park, close to the nation’s capital.
