Washington Adventist University (WAU) is hosting an Adjunct Professor Career Fair on Wednesday, June 4, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The event will be held on campus in the lobby of Wilkinson Hall, located at 7600 Flower Avenue in Takoma Park, just west of the intersection of Flower and Carroll Avenues. Free parking is available directly behind the building and across the street.
The university is seeking to expand its pool of qualified adjunct faculty to fill several key openings in such disciplines as English, math, computer studies, nursing, biology and chemistry. Individuals interested in teaching at the university are encouraged to attend the fair and bring their resume and an unofficial transcript. A master’s degree and at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline they’d like to teach are required, and teaching experience at the post-secondary level is preferred.
Washington Adventist University representatives will be on hand to talk about what it’s like to teach at the school, and to review credentials and conduct interviews with well-qualified candidates.
