When Aviv’s father (whom he never knew) dies, Aviv begins to research the man’s past. He unexpectedly discovers evidence that his grandfather was the illegitimate son of Israeli painter Ira Yan and national poet Haim Nahman Bialik.

Israel’s literary community is shocked by the claims, which threaten to impact the Bialik’s reputation.
