• Taneytown cashing in on new speed cameras (wmar2news.com) — New speed cameras on Trevanion Road by Taneytown Elementary and Northwest Middle have cut speeding in half and generated about $250,000 in four months, mostly from non-locals. City leaders plan to reinvest this money into more traffic-calming projects and safety improvements on residential streets, aiming to prevent tragedies like the past fatal hit-and-run there.
