• Radio, power outage caused by storm spark Taneytown house fire; man flown to hospital (foxbaltimore.com) — A house on Bullfrog Road in Taneytown caught fire Saturday night, sending one man with smoke inhalation to a local hospital by state police helicopter. About 30 firefighters from Taneytown and surrounding companies contained the blaze in 30 minutes, but damage is estimated at $150,000. Investigators say a radio and storm-related power outage in the basement kitchen accidentally sparked the fire.
