BAKE SALE PLANNED MARCH 15 IN TIMONIUM TO SUPPORT BELLA’S BATTALION

TIMONIUM, MD. – Lily Cavallaro, 13, whose younger sister Bella
suffers from Type 1 diabetes, has organized a bake sale for March 15, starting
at 9 a.m., to raise funds for Bella’s Battalion.

“I wanted to
do something to help my sister and diabetes research,” Lily said. “Come out and
see all the stuff we have. Buy something or make a donation so we can help find
a cure for diabetes – for Bella and everyone else who suffers from it.”

The bake sale, featuring a wide range of healthy and other
baked goods, will be held outside J & J Alterations & Cleaning at 2434
Broad Ave. in the Broad Street Market Center, just off West Padonia Road, near
I-83.

Since 2010,
Bella’s Battalion has raised thousands of dollars to support the Juvenile
Diabetes Research Foundation. Money raised from Lily’s bake sale will be
donated to Bella’s Battalion, whose more than 150 volunteers will participate
in the annual JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes, scheduled for April 5, at M & T
Bank Stadium in Baltimore. Bella’s Battalion has been the largest group to
participate in the walk in 2012 and 2013.

Family
members and friends will donate the baked goods.
