Introduction: Let's Get Scrappin'!

Hello everyone!  I'm so excited to be blogging for Lutherville-Timonium Patch. I'm a life long 21093 resident, so it makes perfect sense. 

A little bit about me — I live in the same Lutherville house I lived in as a child.  I'm a graduate of Lutherville Elementary, Ridgely Junior High (yes, way back then) and Towson High.  I spent my summers at York Manor pool and remember when Best Buy used to be the Lan Lea Apartments. 

I'm married to my best friend.  I have two fabulous kids (ages 12 and 16) and I have two wonderful step-children (ages 10 and 12). We have three crazy dogs  — a 13 year old golden/lab mix, 4-year-old chocolate lab and 3-year-old golden retriever — all resident escape artists.  My husband travels a lot for business, so our life and schedules can be a bit crazy at times. But it's so totally worth it.

By day, I'm a human resources manager.  At night, a scrapbooker who is obsessed with pattern paper and the way it allows me to document all the big and small things in our life. 

About 13 years ago, after the birth of my second child, I went to the home of a friend of a friend who was demonstrating scrapbooking.  I left that evening with an empty checkbook and a bag full of tools.  I've been hooked ever since.  I've travelled across the country to take classes from scrapbooking "celebrities" to learn techniques and spend time with other scrapbookers.  Call me crazy!  I just love the way this hobby feeds my creative spirit.

I'm looking forward to sharing info, inspiration and some scrapiness about this hobby that really has become a passion for me. Hope you will join me!
