Horseshoe Casino Puts on Finishing Touches Before Opening

Baltimore Cityโ€™s first casino is set to open Aug. 26.

Horseshoe Casino on Russell Street is going to be the stateโ€™s second largest in size and number of slot machines, after Maryland Live!

Patch got an inside look at whatโ€™s on tap at Horseshoe, including an Asian-themed gaming room, with golden bamboo at the entryway and a sushi bar next door; more than 100 table games, a 25-table World Series of Poker-branded room and 2,500 slot machines, 100 of which will be placed outside; a three-story bar thatโ€™s open 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and two restaurants with celebrity chef affiliationsโ€”Guy Fieriโ€™s Baltimore Kitchen is on the lower level while upstairs, John Besh and Aaron Sanchez are co-owners of Johnny Sanchez, a taqueria and tequila bar withe balcony views of M&T Bank Stadium.
