1 Dead, 2 Injured In I-695 Rollover Crash Near Towson: Police
As Maryland State Police investigated the fatal crash, officials said Interstate 695 was shut down for hours near Providence Road.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — One person died and two others were injured in a crash on Interstate 695 Sunday morning, according to Maryland State Police. The crash response resulted in the Baltimore beltway being shut down near Providence Road for nearly four hours, officials reported.
Police said the single-vehicle crash occurred on the outer loop of I-695 prior to the Dulaney Valley Road exit before 12:18 a.m. on Sunday, June 9.
A man lost control of his vehicle and was thrown after it overturned, according to officials. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital, authorities reported, and troopers were still working to identify him and notify his family Sunday morning.

Because of the crash, officials said troopers shut down the outer loop in the area, and traffic was detoured onto Providence Road for hours.
A medevac was called to the scene, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported at approximately 1 a.m. Two passengers were hospitalized. One was taken to St. Joseph's Medical Center and another was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

All lanes reopened at 4:08 a.m., officials reported.
