2 Baltimore Co. Men Facing Attempted Murder Charges Over July Shooting

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Two men are each facing over a dozen charges for a July shooting that saw another man shot during an armed carjacking in Randallstown.

The Baltimore County Police Department identified the pair as 19-year-old Cordell Jefferson and 20-year-old Garrin Davis.

Court records show that of the 16 charges both are facing, a total of nine account for felony-grade offenses. They include:

• First- and second-degree attempted murder
• First-degree assault
• Carjacking and armed carjacking
• Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle
• Robbery and armed robbery
• Theft between $1,500 and $25,000

The remaining charges range between second-degree assault and a mix of gun offenses, such as using a firearm in a felony crime.

The charges stem from a shooting that occurred July 20, shortly before 5:30 p.m. near Downey Dale Drive and Church Lane in Randallstown. Police said a man suffered a non-life-threatening injury during a struggle after he was pulled from his car.

Charging documents reviewed by WBAL state it was Jefferson who pulled him from the car before Davis shot him in the arm before driving.

Towson University also confirmed to the outlet that Jefferson was a player on the school's football team during the previous season.

Both Jefferson and Davis remain held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center. Preliminary court hearings are scheduled for Sept. 4.
