2 Teens Charged After Allegedly Shooting At Vehicles In Sparks
Authorities said the teens shot five vehicles, including an unmarked police car that was searching for the shooter in Baltimore County.

TOWSON, MD - Two teens have been charged in connection with shooting at vehicles in Sparks in late August. In the span of one hour, authorities said that five vehicles were hit by bullets on Phoenix Road near York Road, among them an unmarked police car.
Tyler James Getz, 18, of the unit block of Loveton Farms Court in Sparks-Glencoe and Timothy Allen Staples, 17, of the 19000 block of Gunpowder Road in Manchester, face multiple charges, police said Wednesday.
The teens have been charged with multiple counts of first-degree assault, reckless endangerment and malicious destruction of property. They were arrested on Sept. 13 and have since been released on $10,000 bond, police reported Wednesday.

The investigation began at 1:52 p.m. on Aug. 24, when a woman reported her passenger-side window was hit on Phoenix Road while she was driving, and when she stopped to inspect it, she found a small bullet hole in the window.
Police said that K-9 units and SWAT officers were called to canvass the area, and it was determined that at least five vehicles were hit by bullets over the course of one hour on Phoenix Road near York Road, including an unmarked police car involved in the search.

While the suspects were not immediately identified, police said that investigation led to the identification of the teens and consequent charges.
According to authorities, the shots were fired from a field that is adjacent to Getz's neighborhood.
