20-Year-Old Facing Charges in Towson Town Center Spray Incident: Police
Police said a pregnant woman was taken to the hospital after a man sprayed a chemical irritant at Towson Town Center.

TOWSON, MD – A 20-year-old man will be charged after police said he deliberately sprayed a friend with a chemical at Towson Town Center Tuesday night, sending a pregnant woman to the hospital.
"The exact type of chemical spray has not been determined but it appears similar to mace or pepper spray, housed in a canister for personal protection," according to a statement from the Baltimore County Police Department.

Authorities allege the man confronted an acquaintance on the third floor of the mall and deliberately sprayed him.
Medics were called to the mall at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Tuesday, and officials said they evaluated six people who had been affected by a chemical irritant on the third floor.

One of the victims—a woman who was pregnant—was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital as a precaution, officials reported.
The others declined medical transport, including the man who said he was the intended target of the spray, according to police.
The suspect is not being identified until charges have been officially filed.
