Once at the mall, those inside the vehicle got out, police said. A woman who tried to run was quickly apprehended, while a man went inside the building, according to officials.

Police set up a perimeter around the mall and called in extra resources to assist with the search, officials said.

The man was later found in the backseat of another vehicle that a man was driving, police reported.

A total of three people were taken into custody, according to police, who said in a statement: "Further investigation has indicated that the suspects taken into custody were not responsible for the bank robbery but detectives are continuing to investigate."

Officials said that a police vehicle was involved in a crash that caused minor injuries during the incident.

Authorities said nobody near the mall was in any danger, and police were not searching for anyone else.
