4 Towson Eateries to Try During Baltimore County Restaurant Week

See which restaurants in Towson are offering specials for Restaurant Week.

TOWSON, MD — Have you been meaning to try that new restaurant but need a little push? Baltimore County Restaurant Week encourages eating local by offering fixed-price menus from $15 to $35 for lunch and dinner.

A handful of Towson businesses are participating in the event, which runs from Friday, Jan. 20, to Saturday, Feb. 4.

Cosponsors Baltimore County Tourism and the Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce promote Baltimore County Restaurant Week to encourage diners to sample new establishments and return to familiar favorites.

"January is a tough time for any business, but especially for restaurants," Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce CEO Keith Scott said in a segment on the business show Maryland Spotlight. "It's a slow time."

To spice things up, some restaurants offer new dishes just for restaurant week while others serve staples on multi-course menus. In Towson, dishes range from salmon cake with dill (Café Troia) to sous-vide chicken (Cunningham's) to Alpine Swiss cheese fondue (The Melting Pot) to a salmon BLT (Razorback's).
