6 Teens Charged in Assault of Dundalk Man: Police
All attended same school, were charged as adults in brutal beating, according to reports.

Six teens were charged in the brutal beating last month of a Dundalk man in front of his home, police reported.
The 61-year-old man was assaulted after he saw two girls fighting on his vehicle, surrounded by a group of youths, then attempted to break up the fight and asked the group to move, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Officers responded the 500 block of 45th Street in Dundalk, where multiple citizens reported the assault, which occurred at 12:48 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, police said.

The victim was sitting on steps with serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he was expected to survive, according to police. He suffered broken eye sockets, broken ribs and a broken nose as well as bleeding in his brain and was put in a medically induced coma so he could recover, according to WBAL. The TV station reported on Wednesday that the victim has since been released from the hospital. A GoFundMe account toward covering his medical bills has been set up.
The following six teens were charged as adults in connection with the assault, according to police:

- Garry Leroy Baker Jr., 16, of the 2000 block of Harman Avenue, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, robbery, and first-degree assault. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
- Andrew Omar Allen, 15, of the 3200 block of Elmley Avenue, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, robbery and related offenses. He is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
- Yahkeem Zavion Wheatley, 15, of the 400 block of East 20th Street, is charged with attempted first-degree murder, robbery, and related offenses. He is being held on $200,000 bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
- Samtoya Isiah Wiliams, 17, of the 1500 block of Burnwood Road, is charged with first-degree assault, second degree assault and robbery. He is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $1 million bail.
- Mya Lashae Stewart, 15, of the 800 block of Bethune Road, was originally charged as a juvenile on April 24. On May 4, she was indicted by a Baltimore County Grand Jury. She is now charged as an adult with attempted first-degree murder, robbery and related charges. Her current custody status is unknown.
- Antoine Willie Lawson, 17, of the 5600 block of Clearspring Road, was originally charged as an adult with first and second-degree assault. On May 4, a Baltimore County grand jury charged with attempted first-degree murder, robbery and related charges. His current custody status is unknown.
All of the teens attend Baltimore Community High School, according to WBAL, which reported that citizens’ cell phone videos and police in city schools helped identify the suspects involved.
Police and school officials have increased their presence as students arrive and as school lets out for the day, in response to the concern of the surrounding Dundalk community, where Fox 45 reports students walk through neighborhoods to get to class.
