Active Shooter, Mass Casualty Simulation At Towson HS Planned
Police and fire personnel will converge at Towson High School Monday, Sept. 30.

TOWSON, MD — There will be an increase in police presence and emergency personnel at Towson High School Monday, Sept. 30. Officials say it is no cause for alarm; the Baltimore County Police Department and Baltimore County Fire Department will be holding a training exercise on campus.
The exercise includes simulating active shooter and mass casualty incidents, but officials say there will not be any live weapons used during the training.
First responders will be able to fine-tune their plans for responding to an emergency at the school and test their skills.

Students will not be at school that day. It is a professional development day for teachers and it's also Rosh Hashanah.
Emergency response vehicles could be at the school from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 30.

Roads will not be closed, but the public is asked to avoid the area.
