Teen Charged In Towson University Shooting Tied To Robbery: Police

A 19-year-old is facing charges for a shooting linked to a robbery that happened at Towson University last week, police said.

TOWSON, MD — Gage Flood, a 19-year-old from Baltimore, is facing multiple charges after being arrested over a robbery that took place at Towson University.

Flood, who was arrested on Friday, was publicly identified in the case on Monday by the Baltimore County Police Department.

Court records show Flood is being charged with nine offenses, including:

Flood remains held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The teenager was hospitalized last week after he suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to his lower body "during the commission of a robbery," according to police.

The altercation unfolded in the stairwell of the Tower C residence hall at the university. Officers were alerted to the scene around 9:15 p.m. on Thursday.

No students were injured in the incident. Police said there was no additional threat to the campus.
