Families Displaced by Hillendale Apartment Fire: Red Cross
Baltimore County firefighters contained Tuesday afternoon blaze.

Crews have contained an apartment fire off Walker Avenue in Towson Tuesday afternoon, and the Red Cross is assisting families displaced by the blaze, according to officials.
At 12:51 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to an apartment fire in the 500 block of Castle Drive, according to Baltimore County public safety personnel.

By 1:01 p.m., crews reported the visible fire was contained and firefighters were checking to make sure the flames had not extended to other parts of the building.
Two volunteers from the Red Cross were assisting families displaced by the fire, according to Brittany Fowler, spokeswoman for the American Red Cross of the Greater Chesapeake Region, who said the organization would provide food, shelter and clothing as needed.
