Armed Robbery At Towson Book Drop: Towson Crime Blotter

A holdup outside Towson Library, burglary at Towson Town Center, attempted robbery at a smoke shop and other crimes were reported in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — These are the crime reports out of the Towson precinct from the past two weeks. All information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department.

A box that contained a BB gun was stolen from a shed in the 900 block of Breezewick Road. The burglary happened at 1:05 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 4. The shed was unlocked.

A man was returning books to the Towson Library when he was the victim of an armed robbery. The holdup happened at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2. The victim at the book drop outside the library in the 300 block of York Road when an armed individual took his wallet, which contained cash and credit cards.

Two people robbed someone in the 700 block of Bridgeman Terrace. The victim was assaulted and robbed of a cell phone and wallet at 6 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.

Five people assaulted and robbed a pizza delivery driver as he was delivering a pizza in the 1000 block of Halstead Road at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30. They took his keys and his vehicle, which contained his cell phone. The vehicle was recovered after the robbery.

A residence was burglarized in the 200 block of East Susquehanna Avenue at 2:45 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 28. The suspect ransacked the basement, stealing cash and jewelry, after getting in through a side door and sliding door.

A woman was thrown to the ground in the 6700 block of North Charles Street in a robbery attempt at 7:32 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 28. The suspect tried to use force to steal the victim's purse, but she held onto it. The suspect ran away.

There was an armed robbery attempt at GLI Smoker's Choice in the unit block of Allegheny Avenue at 7:25 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26. Two people came into the store, one of whom showed a gun and demanded money. When the clerk refused and left the store, the suspects also left.

Paradise Spa was burglarized in the Towson Town Center. Someone went into the business in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 25, then took a cell phone and mobile credit card machine.

A man was assaulted and robbed while trying to pump gas in the 6800 block of Loch Raven Boulevard at 3:25 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23. After being assaulted, the victim went into the store. The robbers stole a phone and money he had left in his vehicle, then took off in another vehicle.
