Assistance Center of Towson Churches Mixes It Up

WALL BUILDING was the two-fold task slated for the 11th week of ACTC's building construction/renovation project on Saturday, August 17. One team worked on pouring cement for the 18- by 22-ft. foundation's perimeter, the first step toward replacing the old, original front section that had to be demolished. Meanwhile another team was busy building the framework for two walls. Thanks to Leslie, Julie and Suzanne for setting up lunch break for the 10 hungry volunteers.
Let ACTC know if you are interested in joining the hands-on mission opportunity available on Saturdays probably through October. Help is needed for everything from building the frames, walls and roof to working on drywalling, siding and painting. The volunteers include skilled workers who are good teachers. To take advantage of this opportunity for learning about construction, as well as for giving your time and talents, contact Charlie Utermohle by email (35international@comcast.net), cell (443-752-2336) or at home (410-329-2026).
