Baltimore Sun: Ruxton's Mary Beth Marsden Joins WBAL Radio Staff

Mary Beth Marsden, a Ruxton resident and former anchor, has been tapped as the new afternoon drivetime anchor for WBAL Radio, the Baltimore Sun reports.

Marsden served as a reporter and anchor at ABC2 for more than 20 years before taking a buyout in 2009. Since then, she's hosted a show on the Education Channel and for families dealing with autism.

Marsden will host WBAL's "Afternoon News Journal." Marsden replaces Shari Elliker, whose contract was not renewed.

The Sun reports Marsden will start Sept. 6.
