Man Found Dead After Barricade In Phoenix: Police
Police said a neighborhood was no longer on alert after a situation that resulted in the death of one man in north Baltimore County.

PHOENIX, MD — Police said a man died after a barricade situation Saturday morning in Phoenix. The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating the incident, and an officer who shot him has been placed on routine administrative leave.
Scott William Robertson, 41, of the 14000 block of Blenheim Road North, was pronounced deceased inside the residence, according to police. He allegedly threatened people inside the home as well as police outside the home before he was shot.
Before 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, officials said a 911 caller reported Robertson was in the home with a gun, which he had pointed at his girlfriend, her daughter and her daughter's boyfriend.

When authorities arrived, they said the three victims fled the home.
Officers approached the home and called for Robertson to come out, which he did through a side door, emerging holding a handgun. Although an officer ordered him to drop the weapon, police said that Robertson raised it, at which point the officer fired his gun.

After being shot, Robertson went back into the house, according to officials.
Following several attempts to try to contact Robertson, authorities decided it was relatively safe to go into the home, where they found him lying on the floor. Despite medical aid being provided to him, Robertson was pronounced deceased.
There was a handgun next to his body, police said.
INITIAL REPORT: Police have asked those in a neighborhood in northern Baltimore County to stay inside Saturday morning while they handle a barricade situation. Authorities were investigating whether shots had been fired, officials reported after 9:15 a.m. Saturday, June 22.
The Baltimore County Police Department was called to the 14000 block of North Blenheim Road in the Phoenix area before 7:30 a.m., officials said. When officers were dispatched, they were told that there was a person at the location with a weapon.
Police asked neighbors in the area to stay inside and media members to gather at the firehouse of the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Company, which is about 1.1 miles away on Sweet Air Road.
SECOND REPORT (update before noon) — Police said a man has died and a road has reopened after a barricade situation Saturday morning in Phoenix. The Baltimore County Police Department is investigating the incident.
Officers were called to the 14000 block of North Blenheim Road before 7:30 a.m. Saturday, June 22, for a report of a man with a weapon. When authorities arrived, they said they saw a man come out the front door with a gun, and at least one officer fired.
The man went back in the house, and after it was deemed safe for them to do so, police officers said they went inside and found him on the floor. A handgun was next to him, authorities reported.
Although medical aid was attempted, police said the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Blenheim Road has reopened, police reported after 11:15 a.m., noting there was no known threat in the area.
