Former Bishop Up For Parole After Deadly, Drunken Hit-And-Run
Defrocked bishop Heather Cook may be released after serving less than two years of a seven-year sentence for manslaughter after she killed a cyclist while she was drunk driving. Cook was sentenced to seven years in jail in October 2015. Since vehicular manslaughter is considered a "non-violent" crime by the state, Cook is eligible for parole after serving 25 percent of the sentence.
Superintendent Resigns From Baltimore County Public Schools
Baltimore County Public Schools Superintendent Dallas Dance has tendered his resignation. Dance's last day will be June 30, according to school officials.
