Botched Carjacking, Armed Robbery Attempts: Towson Crime
Two armed robberies, garage burglary and more crimes were recently reported in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about crimes from July 11 to 27 in Towson. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
GameStop was robbed at knifepoint in the 6300 block of York Road. The robber showed a knife and demanded money from the register, then left upon receiving cash. The armed robbery was reported at 5:15 p.m. on July 24.
There was a robbery attempt in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle. The suspect grabbed a man by the shirt collar and demanded his wallet at 9:13 p.m. on July 21. The victim pushed the suspect away and ran to his van, and the suspect took off.

Cash was taken from an unlocked car in the unit block of Betty Bush Lane. The burglary happened at 4:15 a.m. on July 17. The suspect went into a garage that may have been open and rummaged through the car before leaving with cash.
A burglary was reported in the 7200 block of Bellona Avenue. The suspect broke a garage window to get in at 3:20 a.m. on July 17. Nothing was apparently missing but the garage door was left partly open.

There was an attempted drive-by robbery on Rider Avenue at West Joppa Road at 11:10 p.m. on July 16. Three strangers came up to four youths, two of whom were ordered to empty their pockets or be shot. No property was taken, and there was no gun shown. The suspect took off after making the demand.
After a man parked his vehicle in the driveway in the 400 block of Schwartz Avenue, two strangers approached him. One, who was armed, demanded the car keys but after the two suspects got into the vehicle and tried to make a getaway, they could not figure out how to put the vehicle in drive. They got out and ran away. The attempted carjacking took place at 1:18 p.m. on July 16.
A vehicle and other items were stolen in a burglary in the 1500 block of Dellsway Road. The suspect got into the residence through a window that had been left unlocked to commit the burglary between 11:30 p.m. on July 12 and 6:30 a.m. on July 13.
Loch Raven Liquors was held up at 11 p.m. on July 10 as the employees were getting ready to leave. The robber pointed a gun at the workers and demanded property. Three total suspects then ran away after the armed robbery in the 1700 block of Yakona Road.
