Calvert Hall Counselor Removed From School After Sex Allegation
A sex allegation has reportedly resulted in the removal of a counselor from Calvert Hall College High School.

TOWSON, MD — A counselor at Calvert Hall College High School was reportedly placed on leave after an allegation of sex abuse surfaced from a school where he previously worked. As the claim is investigated, David Trichtinger has been removed from the Catholic college prep school for boys in Towson, according to WJZ.
The school in Baltimore County put Trichtinger on leave after the District of Eastern North America of the Brothers of the Christian Schools informed school officials of an allegation that he sexually abused a minor in Pennsylvania during the 1980s, WJZ reported.
The accusation was from his time as a counselor at Seton La-Salle High School outside Pittsburgh, where The Baltimore Sun said he worked from 1985 to 1987.

According to WBAL, this is the second staff member at Calvert Hall accused of sexual misconduct involving a minor, since former priest Jerome Toohey pleaded guilty to sexually abusing a minor in the 1980s and allegedly abused a student at another school. He was reportedly sentenced to 18 months in jail in 2006.
