Looming Thunderstorms Prompt Flood Watch For Baltimore County
The National Weather Service says parts of Baltimore County could see hourly rainfall rates of up to 3 inches on Wednesday.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A flood watch was issued Wednesday for large parts of Baltimore County as storm cells are forecast to bring heavy rainfall to the region.
The National Weather Service says the flood watch will remain in effect until 4 p.m.
"Showers and a few thunderstorms with very heavy rain are likely through this afternoon," reads the latest NWS advisory.

"Rainfall rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour may result in localized totals of 2 to 3 inches, which would result in flooding mainly in urban and poor drainage areas."
Residents are urged to be cautious and avoid any roadways that become flooded.
