Data Center Ban In Baltimore County May Be Extended: Report
Baltimore County Councilmember David Marks says a data center ban could be extended through at least next summer.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — The temporary moratorium that the Baltimore County Council issued earlier in the year is expected to be extended, according to reports.
Councilmember David Marks said in a statement that the extension would likely be "through next summer, guaranteeing public input from everyone."

WYPR reported that the extension was also backed by Councilmembers Nino Mangione, Mike Ertel and Izzy Patoka.
Baltimore County implemented a ban in February to allow more time for understanding both the benefits and drawbacks of data centers.
