Encore Chorales To Perform Free Holiday Concert In Towson

The concert will be on Sunday, Dec. 9, at Towson Presbyterian Church.

From Encore: The Encore Chorales for older adults will perform in holiday concerts this season. This free evening concert is perfect for all ages and will include members of the Encore Chorales of Towson and Columbia. Enjoy holiday classics and seasonal favorites sure to get you in the holiday spirit including Variations on Jingle Bells,Hallelujah Chorus, S’vivon (The Dreidl), Let There Be Peace on Earth and more. Led by professional conductor, Stephen Harouff, the singers are all aged 55 and up have been entertaining appreciative audiences for more than ten years. These concerts are a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays and the truly gifted older adult Encore singers.

Bring the family and make an annual tradition of these wonderful programs.

Choral singing enhances the physical, mental and social health of older adults. Encore Creativity for Older Adults offers an opportunity for those who sang in the past and for those who continue their life-long passion for choral music. Encore singers learn vocal technique, proper breathing and posture, and music literacy. The singers are energized and delighted by weekly rehearsals and performances.
