Brooks Williams Live in Concert

BROOKS WILLIAMS
Tickets $20.00 – Showtime 8:00 pm

"Dazzling guitar work!" ~ Acoustic Guitar
With bluesy fingerpicking, soaring bottleneck slide, and swinging flatpicking, Brooks Williams' music is rooted in the blues and is as fresh and original as any music you are likely to hear. His unique combination of traditional and original music inspired Dirty Linen magazine to call Brooks Williams one of "America's musical treasures." Over the years Brooks has recorded 17 CDs for labels like Green Linnet Records, Signature Sounds, Red Guitar Blue Music and Solid Air Records. He's been praised by the likes of The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, Acoustic Guitar, Blues In Britain, and Guitar Player.  He has appeared on World Café, The BBC, and All Things Considered, and his recordings receive constant airplay on public, college and Americana radio. His innovative guitar sound-bytes can be heard in between news segments on National Public Radio and on Public Television.  He regularly brings audiences to their feet and is quite simply one of the most entertaining and engaging performers on the circuit today. His latest CD, Baby O! produced by Williams and engineered by Andy Bell (Seasick Steve) is his most immediate and compelling roots record to date. The music that traveled across the ocean from the US to the UK on scratchy records and static-laden radio signals in the 1950s and early 1960s, then traveled back across to the US via records, singers and guitarists from the UK in the late 1960s and 1970s, continues its journey back and forth in the on-going singing of a timeless song.  From coast-to-coast, country-to-country, Williams and his guitars roll and tumble like nobody's business.
