Fire And Ice Night In Towson Postponed

Because of the weather in Towson, Fire and Ice night has been moved to its rain date of Dec. 20.

TOWSON, MD — The Towson Winterfest Fire and Ice night is postponed due to the weather. Officials from the Towson Chamber of Commerce made the announcement Friday.

Featuring free s'mores and hot chocolate, the event invites visitors to stroll downtown Towson, looking at various ice sculptures, fire pits and business windows decorated for the holidays.

The event has been rescheduled for its rain date, which is Friday, Dec. 20.

Rain is expected much of Friday and Saturday, according to the Towson forecast from the National Weather Service. Dense fog may cause limited visibility until midnight, prompting a dense fog advisory.

Temperatures will be in the 40s Friday, rising to the low 50s Saturday.

Sunshine is expected to make a return Sunday, when the high is 47 and the low is 38 degrees.

The Fire and Ice Night in Towson will be 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20.
