Firefighters Called To Towson Construction Site: Officials

Baltimore County fire officials were dispatched for smoke at a building under construction Friday in downtown Towson.

TOWSON, MD — One of the buildings under construction in Towson was reportedly smoking Friday afternoon, drawing firefighters to Joppa Road. Nobody was injured in the incident, officials said.

Crews were dispatched to the unit block of East Joppa Road for a report of smoke at 1:41 p.m., according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. Smoke was reportedly coming from the seventh floor of the structure.

Commanders said they were deescalating their response to the situation after 2:45 p.m.
