Group Carjacking In Towson Reported: Police Blotter

A carjacking and surveillance camera theft were among the crimes reported recently in the Towson precinct.

TOWSON, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about crimes reported this week in the Towson precinct, including a carjacking on York Road and multiple burglaries. Arrests do not equal convictions.

Five people were involved in a carjacking in the 700 block of York Road. After assaulting the victim around 6:20 a.m. on March 13, the group took off in the victim's vehicle.

One person was arrested after pointing a gun at someone and threatening to shoot. The assault came after the suspect and victim got into a heated argument in the 1700 block of Aberdeen Road between noon and 10:15 p.m. on March 8.

A residence was burglarized in the 8100 block of Clyde Bank Road. Various items were stolen after the suspect got in through a back window between 5:30 and 8 p.m. on March 8.

A surveillance camera was stolen from a residence in the 8100 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The suspect went into the yard to take the camera and tried to open the basement door but could not. The burglary happened at 9:33 p.m. on March 4.

The Dollar Tree in the 800 block of Taylor Avenue was burglarized between 9:30 p.m. on March 3 and 8:44 p.m. on March 4. The suspect took cash from the safe plus a monitor from the surveillance system.
