I-695 Crash Snarled Traffic Near Providence Road

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Traffic on the inner loop of the Baltimore beltway was snarled Wednesday morning due to a collision. The crash happened before 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15.

Two vehicles were involved in the crash on I-695 at Providence Road, state transportation officials reported.

Two left lanes and the left shoulder were closed for cleanup. As of 8:45 a.m., a tow truck was at the scene, and backups stretched to Harford Road.

Lanes began reopening after 8:50 a.m., with the left shoulder closed on both the inner and outer loops.
