Last of Deserted York Road Buildings Comes Down

The last of several vacant buildings in the 100 block of York Road came down this week.

The buildings  were between York Liquors and Jiffy Lube, just north of Towson University.

The buildings once housed an ACDelco repair shop and a Junior Press print shop. The ACDelco building and a house behind it were That building had been abandoned for several years, and a website, now inactive, showed a copyright dated in 2004.

Earlier this year, County Councilman David Marks asked the owner, Towson-based DMS Development, to take the buildings down. The company did not return a call Wednesday seeking comment.
