Loch Raven Business Burglaries, Roundabout Robbery Attempt: Towson Crime

Multiple burglaries in Towson - including at a church - were recently reported, police said.

TOWSON, MD - The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the Towson precinct. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Items were taken from a purse in the unit block of Cooperative Drive off Walker Avenue. The burglar got into the apartment through a door that had been left unlocked sometime between 6 and 7 p.m. on July 14.

Three people broke into the Quick Mart in the 8600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard around 4 a.m. on July 14. Two of the three suspects were apprehended.

Two suspects were taken into custody after a burglary at the A2D Wireless Solutions store in the 8600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The burglary happened at 4 a.m. on July 14, and one of the suspects who fled with the group was able to get away.

A robbery was reported in the 700 block of Bridgeman Terrace. The suspect arrived at the apartment at 5:30 p.m. on July 14 and argued with the tenant. Then the suspect assaulted the tenant and took the victim's shoes.

There was an armed robbery at the 7-Eleven in the 8500 block of Loch Raven Boulevard. The suspect went into the store and showed a knife before demanding money from someone, who ran to the back of the store. The suspect stole cash and cigarettes, then left. The robbery was reported at 2:45 a.m. on July 14.

There was an attempted break-in at the Immaculate Conception Church in the 200 block of Ware Avenue. A tire was slashed, an outside light fixture was broken and two window screens were cut; however, no entry was gained. The burglary attempt happened between 8 p.m. on July 12 and 7:15 a.m. on July 13.

Edible Arrangements in the 6300 block of York Road was burglarized. Cash and the cash drawer were stolen in the burglary, which happened between 7 p.m. on July 11 and 8 a.m. on July 12.

There was an attempted robbery at York Cleaners and Tailors in the 100 block of York Road. The suspect demanded the employee come to the register, and the employee started calling 911. At that point, the suspect ran away. The incident occurred at 12:20 p.m. on July 11.

Three people tried to rob a pedestrian in the area of the Towson roundabout at East Joppa Road. Two of the suspects assaulted the victim and attempted to take his things at 9:30 p.m. on July 10 but he broke away with all his things, and the suspects left.
