Crash on I-695 Clears After Hours, Major Delays

Delays stretched around the Baltimore Beltway for several hours Thursday afternoon from a crash near Falls Road.

A three-vehicle crash was reported at 1:59 p.m. on the inner loop of I-695 at exit 23/Falls Road, according to state transportation officials.

Two of the vehicles involved were a horse trailer and an 18-wheeler, WBAL reported.

After 5 p.m. the crash had cleared, according to state transportation officials.

Until that point, three lanes and the right shoulder had been closed on I-695 in the area of the collision, with traffic squeezing by on the left side. Delays were stacked up to Interstate 95, according to WNEW.
