Man Charged After Road Rage Ends With Shooting: Police

The Baltimore County Police Department announced charges in a Friday shooting that stemmed from a road rage incident.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Salaahud Punnette, a 36-year-old from Essex, was charged in connection with a road rage incident that ended in a shooting.

The Baltimore County Police Department announced on Saturday that multiple charges had been filed in the case, including attempted first-degree murder and first-degree assault, among other firearms-related offenses.

Punnette is being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

The charges stem from a reported shooting that police were alerted to near Perring Parkway and Putty Hill Avenue on Friday at approximately 6:20 a.m.

Police said that when officers arrived to the scene, investigators determined that a 28-year-old man was shot after an isolated road rage incident.

Investigators did not offer specifics on the incident.

The injured man, who suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, was hospitalized for treatment.
