Minnie Mouse Backpack Taken In Burglary: Police
Police have made a special request on a little girl's behalf before the school year starts in Baltimore County.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Investigators say that a serial burglar swiped a girl's Minnie Mouse backpack from her Parkville area home this spring. Now authorities allege the same man is behind at least four burglaries that have been reported since May in the Towson-Parkville area.
The little girl wants her backpack returned, police said, especially since it contained her piggy bank, and she is hoping tips from the public can help identify the burglar.
The man stole a backpack from the 1700 block of Ryewood Road in Parkville on Thursday, May 16, according to police. It was around 9 a.m. when he was seen on surveillance jumping the rear fence, checking the back door and trying to pry a window until he saw the security camera and disabled it, officials said. He was inside the house for about half an hour.

Doorbell camera showed him leaving through the front door at 9:36 a.m., police said.
At the time, he was wearing the Minnie Mouse backpack, which officials said was filled with items from the home, including the girl's piggy bank.

Police said similar burglaries were reported on Sindall Road and Wycliffe Road in May and June, and investigators suspect the burglar may live in or near Northbrooke Township Apartments on Solar Circle.
"If you think you recognize this suspect or you find images of this burglar on your own home surveillance system, or if you've seen someone with this girl's backpack, call detectives from the Baltimore County Police Burglary Unit and help us return it to her," police said in a statement.
Anyone with information suspect or crimes is asked to call the Baltimore County Police Department's Burglary Unit at 410-307-2020.
