Mom: Please Date My Son; Police: Let Him Find His Own Date
Police at Towson University in Maryland want a mom to stop playing Cupid for her son and pestering female students.

TOWSON, MD — This may be every son’s ghastliest nightmare: A woman in her mid-50s has been pestering female students at Towson University and asking them if they’d like to date her son. While she’s not accused of criminal wrongdoing, university police want her to stop playing Cupid. She’s been persistent enough that some of the students have filed reports with the university’s police department.
The woman has entered on-campus buildings at least three times to play matchmaker for her son. According to reports, she shows the women a cellphone picture of her girlfriend-less son and then asks if they’re interested in becoming his companion.
The woman entered two buildings on three different occasions Feb. 6-7 trying to convince women they really should give him a chance.

The mom’s tenacity in finding a date for her son prompted Towson University Police Chief Charles Herring to email a campuswide advisory to “heighten awareness and inform the community of incidents that may impact their safety and security,” The Baltimore Sun reported.
The mail included a photo of the woman from surveillance video, along with her description. Anyone with information about the woman is asked to contact university police at (410) 704-4444.
