New Details Emerge In Case Of Gwynn Oak Siblings Killed At Home: Report

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — New details emerged Thursday in the case of two Gwynn Oak siblings who were found fatally shot inside their home.

Charging documents reviewed by Fox 45 revealed investigators narrowed their search for a suspect to 16-year-old Keith Maurice James Jr., of Baltimore, through a combination of witness testimony, ballistics evidence, cell data and video surveillance.

Baltimore County Police Chief Robert McCullough said Wednesday that it is believed James may have been in a relationship with 15-year-old Giovanna Myrie.

Myrie and her younger brother, 9-year-old Steve Allen, were discovered dead at their Gwynn Oak home in early July as their parents returned home.

Court records showed that a friend of Myrie told investigators that they had seen James hold a handgun toward the 15-year-old and tell her that he would kill her if she messed around with other guys, Fox 45 reported. The encounter was witnessed through a three-way FaceTime call.

James remains held behind bars.

The funeral for both Myrie and Allen was held Tuesday, a day before McCullough announced an arrest in the case.
