One Killed In Crash Near Monkton: Police

WHITE HALL, MD — One person died in a crash near White Hall Saturday morning, police reported. The collision involved two vehicles on Troyer Road.

Ruth Barbara Ringler was pronounced deceased at the scene on Troyer Road near McComas Road, police said.

Ringler had been driving a Honda Civic south on Troyer Road around 9:47 a.m. when she crossed into the northbound lane and collided with a Chevrolet Suburban, according to investigators.

The driver of the Suburban was uninjured, police reported.

Officials said Ringler, who died at the scene, lived in the 17000 block of Troyer Road. That was less than 2 miles from the site of the collision.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
