Outdoor Sirens To Sound At Towson University Tuesday

Don't be alarmed if you hear sirens Tuesday afternoon in Towson, the Towson University Office of Public Safety advises.

TOWSON, MD — Sirens may sound Tuesday afternoon in Towson during a test conducted by the Towson University Office of Public Safety.

The outdoor emergency siren system will be tested at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 24, university officials advised.

The test will last approximately a few minutes, consisting of several alert tones and audible messages indicating "this is only a test" and "the test is complete."

The public does not need to take any action, officials said, unless a fire alarm is activated, which indicates building evacuation is necessary.
