Police Identify Pedestrian Killed in Cockeysville Crash

UPDATE—A fatal crash involving a pedestrian closed York Road in Cockeysville for more than four hours Thursday morning, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Behrooz Yazdanian, 67, of the unit block of Quiet Stream Court in Lutherville-Timonium, was pronounced dead at the scene, police reported.

Yazdanian had been crossing York Road from east to west when he was hit by a Ford Escape at 6:47 a.m. in the area of Industry Lane, according to the report.

York Road was closed between Industry Lane and Scott Adam Road until 11:18 am., the report said.

The driver remained at the scene of the crash, which the Baltimore County Police Department is investigating.
